Winter once again

Winter once again

I write this in late March 2017 as Winter tries to make one last stand here on the eastside. Record snow levels, best skiing in years and a welcome break to the multi-year drought has outdoor enthusiasts hyper-excited at the outdoor adventure opportunities. Conditions haven’t been this good in quite some time. From skiing to boating this year will be “normal” again for every outdoor activity.

The three images featured here were captured after one of our recent storms. They were captured from front country with a long lense to provide a closer view of the scene.

If you haven’t been to the Sierra in recent years get your butt up here. Wildflowers are busting out all over now, the Spring skiing is about to get epic and the whitewater on the Kern River and other West side Rivers will be better than it’s been since . . . hell I can’t remember when. Grab your toys and go!
